Writing CVs professionally helps an employer find who they want and fast.
Time will not be spent reading poor CVs. Key information must be found quickly.
For example, suppose an advertised vacancy brought 200 applications.
100 candidates could expect to be discarded because their envelope was addressed wrong, they sent too many CV pages or there was no covering letter.
60 CVs could go because they do not sell the candidate in the first 10 seconds.
40 remaining CVs are read in detail, with more being discarded until just a few are left.
Possibly twelve final CVs are read in full and analysed deeply.
Typically only five or six candidates may receive an interview invitation.
